DESCRIPTION

• The pen applies the foil onto the material using pressure and heat, with a finish clean edges
• The plotter automatically detects the tool when entering it on carriage 2
• Allows you to adjust pressure, speed and other settings parameters from the Silhouette Studio software®
• The kit Includes two sizes of tip: Thin (1 mm) and thick (2.5 mm)
• Maximum temperature of the thermal feathers : 150 °C 

WHAT DOES THE THERMAL FEATHER KIT INCLUDE?

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE THERMAL PEN

• Place the thermal pen on the toolholder right side of the carriage marked with the number 2
• The plotter will automatically detect it
• Activate the electrostatic bed and place a cutting mat on it
• Place the material on the cutting mat and stick it with masking tape
• Place a piece of masking tape on the correct area
• Make sure to stick the foil well stretched
• Place the carriage on top of the material
• Place a piece of foil on top (only on transparent, glossy or metallised materials to avoid media sensor errors)
• Press the height detection button
• Load the design in the program Silhouette Studio® 
• Go to the panel at special tools and choose the thermal feather
• Choose the type of filling you prefer
• Go to panel submit and create a new type of material (Foil)
• Choose the icon of your choice cutting machine
• Click on the tab carriage 2 and from the dropdown on the right choose Foil
• From the (+) icon, add the binding action
• Modify the parameters you consider and save
• Choose Foil in materials from the carriage 2 
• Press the thermometer icon to heat up the thermal pen
• When ready, press send and the plotter will start working
