Tecnikoa Filamedic® antibacterial filaments with biocidal properties for 3D printing. It prevents the development of viruses and bacteria, making this material suitable for printing protection or sanitary ware.

  • Made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Available in white and natural colours.

Terms and conditions of the Brildor Club

  • Loyalty balance will be added when placing an order with an immediate payment method (Credit/debit card, Paypal and Pagantis).
  • Your balance will show in the "Your credit" section inside "Your account", and you can use it by selecting "Payment methods".
  • You can use your balance without needing to have a minimum accumulated amount or reach a minimum order value. Nonetheless, you won't be able to get a higher discount than your order value.
  • Balance expires after 6 months without making any purchase.
  • The balance is calculated on the net amount of the purchase: excluding taxes, shipping, coupons, and promotional discounts.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

  • TPU is a material prone to absorb moisture. When this happens, the filament can make bubbles or creaks when printing. 
  • To remove moisture, you can use any of the following strategies:
    • Leave the filament in a closed room with a dehumidifier for 24 hours.
    • Place the filament in an oven for 2 hours at a temperature of 60°C.

STORAGE & PRESERVATION

  • Filaments tend to absorb moisture from the environment, leading to problems during printing or finishing. For this reason, it is important to keep the relative humidity value between 10-15%.
  • Moisture may cause the filament to degrade, clogging the extruder and varying it’s physical and mechanical properties.
  • To keep the filament in good condition, it needs to be stored and dried correctly.
  • The filament must be stored in airtight containers, preferably vacuum packed. You can use zip bags with silica gel beads, vacuum-sealed bags or food containers with a vacuum seal.
  • There are many techniques to remove moisture, including:
    • Conventional methods such as drying the filament in a home oven or a food dehydrator. At low temperatures for long periods of time.
    • Professional ways such as using a filament dryer.
  • The useful life of a filament can vary according to different factors. That is why it is important to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for drying and storage parameters.
