Recommended instructions and parameters for sublimation printing
WITH A MUG HEAT PRESS
- Print the design in mirror image.
- Preheat the press to 200ºC with an 11oz mug heater.
- Hold the paper's printed side against the mug and fix it with heat-resistant tape.
- Press for approximately 250 seconds, medium-heavy pressure.
- Using a protective glove, remove the newly printed mug.
- Carefully peel off the paper.
WITH A SUBLIMATION OVEN
- Print the design in mirror image.
- Preheat the sublimation oven to 180ºC
- Hold the paper's printed side against the mug and fix it with heat-resistant tape.
- Attach a wrap for oven sublimation or a silicone sheet around the mug. You can also create a vacuum using a heat shrink bag.
- Place the mug in the oven for 13 minutes
- Once sublimated, take the mug out using a protective glove.
- Carefully peel off the paper.
