Recommended instructions and parameters for sublimation printing
Parameters are given as a guide only. They may vary due to many factors such as the type of sublimation paper, ink or ambient temperature. Therefore, testing is recommended.
HEAT PRESS
Choose your design and print it in mirror image
Preheat the press to 200ºC
To sublimate this product it is recommended to use a Nomex felt pad
Place the Nomex felt pad on the lower platen of the press and cover with protective paper to prevent ink smudging
Place the printed designface up on the Nomex felt pad and the photo slate face down in contact with the printed paper
You can use heat tape to prevent the design from moving. You can also cover it with protective paper
Press at 200ºC for 9 minutes, medium-high pressure
Open the press and remove the printed photo slate using a protective glove
WITH A 3D VACUUM OVEN HEAT PRESS
Print the design in mirror image
Preheat the 3D oven to 200ºC
Place the printed design face down on the white side of the photo slate and fix it with heat-resistant tape
Put the photo slate on the top tray of the oven with the printable side facing upwards
Close the membrane and vacuum, making sure there are no air bubbles left
Bake for 7- 8 minutes
Open the oven and take out the printed slate using a protective glove
