DESCRIPTION

  • Needles with a round shank from system 1738, also known as 287 WH, 1738 (A), DBx1, 16x251, 16x231, and SY 2270
  • 4 types of points:
    • Slightly rounded (R): for general sewing
    • Medium ball (SUK): for medium-thickness fabrics
    • Small ball (SES): for fine and knit fabrics
    • Spear (LR): for leather fabrics
  • Each needle displays two numbers: the first (Nm) indicates the thickness in millimetres, and the second (Singer Size) its equivalent in the American system
  • Various needle thicknesses to suit different types of fabric:
    • 60 - 70 Nm: fine and delicate fabrics such as silk, chiffon, or rayon
    • 80 - 90 Nm: medium and heavy fabrics such as denim, corduroy, velvet, or synthetic leather
    • 100 Nm: heavy fabrics such as canvas, synthetic leather, wool, or gabardine fabric
    • 110 Nm: very heavy fabrics such as loden, canvas, oilcloth, or coat fabrics
