More information about the flame retardant reflective heat transfer vinyl

  • Especially suitable for adding certified reflective elements to official bodies uniforms, such as security forces, emergency services and so on.
  • Excellent for converting PPE, including gloves or waistcoats, and workwear for forest rangers, police officers or operators working in low-light environments into certified high-visibility clothing.
  • Also perfect for adding reflective details to technical clothing for athletes or waistcoats for road emergencies.
  • Its reflective particles are activated in dark environments when the vinyl is exposed to a light source such as headlights or torches.
  • Flame retardant capability. Prevents fire propagation and provides safety in workplaces exposed to flames or sparks.
  • Fast peel-off to reduce idle time between applications.
  • Suitable for plotter cutting.
  • Certified according to the following standards: EN ISO 20471, EN 15614, EN 14116, EN 11612 and EN 469, concerning high visibility clothing and protective clothing in workplaces requiring protection against heat and flame.
  • Store this vinyl upright for up to 1 year in a dry place away from sunlight at room temperature (15 - 30 °C).

  • Wait up to 24 hours after application before washing it for the first wash.
  • Garments should be washed inside out at a maximum temperature of 40ºC
  • Suitable for tumble drying and dry cleaning.
  • Avoid the use of bleach or aggressive products.
  • Always follow the washing recommendations of the fabric, as they may be more restrictive than those of this vinyl.

Recommended instructions and application parameters

  • Cut out the design in mirror image with a vinyl cutter and a 45º blade.
  • With a hook, remove the excess vinyl leaving on the liner the design you want to apply.
  • Preheat the press to 160°C
  • Place the garment on the press’ lower platen and the design on top of it.
  • Cover with protective paper to protect the vinyl and the fabric.
  • Press for 3 seconds, medium pressure.
  • Cover the vinyl with protective paper.
  • Remove the liner when cool.
  • Press again for 15 seconds, medium pressure.

(*) We recommend running some tests to adjust the application parameters according to the heat press you will be using.
