RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE DTF EPSON L1800 PRINTER

Flushing consists of pouring the cleaning solution through the nozzles of the printhead to remove any clogging. This can be done in 2 ways:

Without removing the printhead

Turn on the printer and when the printhead moves, unplug it
Remove the screw and the printhead cover
Place kitchen paper under the printhead. Make sure it is on top of the paper
Take out the cartridges with the help of a flat screwdriver in the order they are in
Now pour some liquid into a container and fill one of the syringes included with the DTF printing system
Attach the hose to the nozzle and lightly inject the cleaning fluid
Repeat the operation on the clogged nozzles
Finally, put all the parts back in place

By disassembling the printhead

Turn on the machine and turn it off when the head moves so that it can be released
Take it to the working area and remove the cover
Remove the dampers. Now free the right cover that holds the flex cables from the head using a screwdriver
Take off the back piece. To do this, use a screwdriver and release the tabs located on each side.
Finally, to release the head, unscrew the three remaining screws using a magnetic screwdriver
Take out the head and place it upside down, taking special care not to touch the silver part or you will damage it
Carefully release the flex cables all at once
Use a cleaning swab to clean around the edge of the printhead, as it may contain dried ink
Use a syringe to push cleaning fluid through each nozzle. Place a bucket or container underneath so you don't make a mess
Do not push too hard. You will see some ink mist come out plus the cleaning fluid
When finished, carefully reassemble the printhead and install the cables correctly
Put the screws, the protectors and the dampers back in place
