DESCRIPTION

• Punch needle or raised embroidery that allows adding textured details and combining different types of materials
• Punch needle with a function similar to an awl that makes the hole and threads the yarn through it

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

• The thread should always be in the opposite direction of where you want to sew, that is, it should be behind the needle
• Make small stitches close to the sheet to prevent the thread from coming out
• Gently pull the thread to undo the stitch
• If some stitches skip or come loose, you can insert them with the needle or an awl
• If a stitch is loose, tighten it by pulling the thread from the back of the cardstock or paper

TIPS AND TRICKS

• Embroider a greeting or the name of the person you are gifting on the same paper to surprise them
• Use washable pens or markers to mark and sketch the design before perforating
