User instructions for the EVOLUTION badge making machine

STEP 1: ASSEMBLE THE MOULD

  1. Each mould is made of 3 parts. Identify and separate Part A, Part B and the Upper Part.
  2. Place the Upper Part on the machine.
  3. Make sure the fastening pin on the Upper Part matches the hole in the machine.
  4. Place Part A in the slot marked as "A" and Part B in the slot "B".
  5. Positioning pins for Part A and B must be placed inside the machine.

STEP 2: ASSEMBLE THE BADGES

  1. Place the front of the badge on Part A, with the sharp edge down. Then place the printed paper, that you will have previously cut with a cutter or die, and its transparent protective film.
  2. Rotate the base until the Upper Part aligns with Part A. Hold the badge maker with one hand, push the lever down as far as it will go and pull it back up.
  3. Place the back of the badge (pin, magnet, keyring, ...) on Part B, with the sharp edge up.
  4. Try to align the Upper Part of the mould with the positioning pin to ensure its correct orientation. To make metal-backed pin badges or magnetic badges it is necessary to add one or two collets on Part B (depending on the thickness of the badge). These collets or washers are supplied with the moulds that require them.
  5. Rotate the base of the machine until the Upper Part meets Part B. Push the lever down as far as it will go and pull it back up.
  6. Rotate the base of the machine again and remove the badge.

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • When changing the Upper Part of the mould, it must be pulled downwards by applying pressure. Be careful that it does not fall on your fingers or hands.
  • Fingers should not be placed between the Upper Part and the bottom (Part A or B) of the mould. They could be pressed by an unintended action of the machine.
