DESCRIPTION

Once applied to the garment, the base can be sublimated following the standard sublimation process

Sublicotton is a water-based coating that integrates perfectly into the fabric; it will not crack and has a soft hand-feel

No screen-printing press is required to apply the base

Complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (class II), certifying that it contains no heavy metals such as lead, mercury or nickel

IMPORTANT NOTES

Not suitable for synthetic fibres

The dark-cotton base is a two-component system: it must be mixed with the supplied powder additive (Ecocharge NF SumiPrint)

Once the dark-cotton mix is prepared, it remains usable for approximately 6 hours

Apply only a thin coat of Sublicotton to the garment; this preserves the fabric’s flexibility and softness

The base must be cured; you can use a drying oven, a transfer press or a flash-cure unit

Always run preliminary tests before starting full production

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR DARK COTTON

Step 1: Apply the base

Fabric must be clean, free of lint and bobbling

Prepare a screen printed with the shape of the design to be transferred

Prepare the mix: 5 g of powder additive per 100 g of base—only make as much as you will use

Let the mix stand for 15 min, then stir again

Position the screen on the garment

Place a bead of base on the screen, enough to cover the print area

Make 3 passes with a squeegee, clearing any excess

Cure the base using the parameters given above

Step 2: Sublimation

Print your design in mirror mode onto sublimation paper

Lay the printed paper on the cured base

Press at 200 °C with medium-high pressure for 45 s

RECOMMENDATIONS

Keep the container tightly closed and store below 35 °C, away from direct or indirect heat sources

Use contents as soon as possible after opening

Work in a well-ventilated area and wear personal protective equipment—gloves, goggles, mask, etc.

Use the base as supplied; do not add any additives other than those provided
