Silhouette Cameo PRO MK-II: advanced features for the modern creator

The Silhouette Cameo PRO MK-II cutting plotter, available at the end of the year for $499.99 according to Silhouette, offers a cutting width of 61 cm, allowing for work with larger designs or cutting multiple small pieces in a single pass.

This evolution of the Cameo line incorporates enhancements such as an optimised loading capacity, auxiliary rollers for increased stability, and new electric tools, including a thermal pen. The machine also features precise cutting functions and a repeat option to facilitate consecutive tasks and expedite creation.

With these features, the Cameo PRO MK-II is presented as a versatile tool for more ambitious creative projects.

Silhouette Stand: a solution for creating with long materials

Alongside the Cameo PRO MK-II, the Silhouette Stand is designed to facilitate the use of long materials.

This stand, compatible with the Cameo 4 and later models, holds the material before and after cutting, preventing it from touching the floor and getting dirty, which allows for working on large projects in small spaces. Furthermore, it optimises the machine's functionality by enhancing production efficiency, helping to manage long materials with ease and increasing productivity.

Leather Cutting Blade

The new blade for customising leather, priced around $39.99, is compatible with the Curio 2 and is designed for leather customisation. This tool allows for three-dimensional carvings, offering precision in creations such as accessories, decoration, or fashion. It is announced to ease the carving process and achieve a high-quality finish.

Power Engraver: ultra-fine engraver for metal, acrylic, and more

The Power Engraver Super-Fine accessory, soon to be available for $29.99, is a tool compatible with the Curio 2 featuring a 1.0 mm engraving tip for enhanced precision. It is designed for detailed engravings and adding custom finishes on metal, acrylic, and more.

Superfine Thermal Pen: for very precise details

The superfine thermal pen, priced at approximately $39.99, features a 0.5 mm tip that allows for creating fine and precise lines on paper, providing greater control and quality in the finish. It is ideal for personalising cards, invitations, scrapbooks, and other paper craft projects, offering details that enhance the appearance of the final product.

New pencil holder set

Silhouette will soon launch a new Type C Pen Holder Set, which includes an extra-large adapter (orange), along with small, medium, and large adapters. This set allows the use of a wide range of pens, from the finest to thick-tipped markers.

The XL adapter is compatible with pens and markers with diameters between 11.3 mm and 12.4 mm, providing users with more possibilities in their creations, accommodating different writing and drawing sizes.

Silhouette Studio 5: a new startup mode

Silhouette Studio 5, available for Christmas 2024, features a revamped interface with step-by-step guides and illustrations to ease navigation. The update simplifies the design process, especially for beginners, with a new "starter mode" that reduces visible icons and functions, making the experience more intuitive.

Additionally, the setup and shipping pages have been enhanced for smoother navigation. The home screen also features tutorials and highlighted designs, helping users to explore new projects and tools.

Silhouette Web

Silhouette Web, currently in Beta version and set for official release before Christmas, is an entirely new software that simplifies the design and sending of projects to Silhouette machines compatible with Bluetooth (Cameo 3 and later). Unlike other programs, it is accessible from any device with an Internet connection (tablets, phones, laptops, Chromebooks, etc.), without the need for installations.

The best part? Silhouette Web shares the same goals as Silhouette Studio 5.0, which is why they will share essential features such as the library, tracing tools, text, alignment, and the print and cut option. Also included are the home page, tutorials, and the guided send function. Their purpose is to simplify the learning curve for new users while also assisting existing users in tackling more complex projects.

Silhouette cloChé: the first transfer press from Silhouette

Silhouette has made a surprising entry into the heat press market with the Silhouette cloChé, a logical decision to compete with Cricut. Designed for hobbyists, this compact press stands out for its ease of use, offering precision and stability for customising t-shirts, bags, and more.

Following Silhouette's distinctive style, the Silhouette cloChé will be available in three pastel shades: pink, green, and white. Additionally, with a weight of only 5 kg and dimensions of 34.9 cm x 33.7 cm x 10.4 cm, it is easy to transport and store. This compact iron fits perfectly into small spaces without compromising on ease of use.

Another feature highlighted by the brand is that Silhouette cloChé provides uniform pressure across the entire surface, and the temperature is controlled with a rotary dial with three levels: L (Low) for 120 °C, M (Medium) for 160 °C, and H (High) for 200 °C, allowing the settings to be adjusted according to the requirements.

Regarding safety, this iron is equipped with an alarm that sounds after 45 seconds of continuous use, and the heater automatically switches off after 2 minutes. Additionally, it turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity to prevent overheating.

Lastly, with the Silhouette cloChé, the “cloChé Petite” is included, a smaller iron, ideal for applying vinyl and rhinestones on challenging surfaces such as hats and shoes, or on small projects and intricate edges.
